Why did I think aluminum foil was absolutely necessary to bake a potato? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Turns out it’s not. (And now I feel silly just thinking about all the places in the world where people have baked foods for centuries without access to modern inventions like rolls of aluminum foil.)

What’s more, the simple addition of a metal skewer helps the potato to bake faster and more evenly.

These crispy-skinned, foil-free, skewered baked potatoes are a newish favorite at my house!

Perfect solution for small spaces! 🌿 I’m loving the easy access to herbs and greens right outside my door at our home away from home while the farm is under renovation.

And the self-watering reservoir is so handy! I filled it at the time of planting which was several weeks ago and haven’t had to add any water since then. This will be so helpful for summer travel!

The only thing cuter than a baby goat is a bottle-fed baby goat who follows Haddon around like he’s her mother.😍🍼🐐

We have Nigerian dwarf dairy goats and baby goats means it’s almost time to start milking again! 🙌🏻

But not quite yet, because all of our mama goats had multiples and we want to make sure the babies get off to a great start before we share their milk.

Milk from Nigerian Dwarf goats is super creamy, thick, and mild in taste. It does not have that goat milk “tang”. The boys say it tastes like melted ice cream. 🍨😋

And just to clarify, it’s EMPTY praise that should be avoided. “You’re amazing!” Specific praise is a good thing. “You’ve made great progress on that piano piece. I’ve noticed how hard you’ve been working on the difficult section and it’s really paying off.”
